Rifle Team
OVERVIEW
Marksmanship "Rifle" Team Practice is an opportunity to improve your accuracy, strength, and balance to assist you with hitting the center of the bulls-eye.
- Practice will be held at 06:00 Monday-Friday (unless noted otherwise)
- Practice will be held in the wrestling room
- The proper shooting attire goes as follows:
- Comfortable shoes (for competitions - no high tops due to regulations)
- Comfortable clothing that allows you to maintain the shooting positions without struggle or uncomfortably (for competitions- full length pants due to regulations, maximum of two sweatshirts for support due to regulations).
DUTIES
Duties while on the rifle range include
- Assisting with setting up the range: tarp, floor boards, lights, and the shooting tarps.
- Setting up your desired lane and keeping it organised (you are allowed to assist others if the need it).
- Putting your gear that you used back in its appropriate locations after you're done shooting.
- If the range needs to be taken down after practice due to not shooting in class, you are to help pack and tear it back down and put gear away properly.
Traveling Team
- Cadets who are on the traveling team for Marksmanship are required to:
- Have an updated sports physical
- ASB ($25- pay in office)
- FamilyID registration for JROTC (FamilyID Information will go out as needed)
- Proper shooting attire that fits regulations (See Above*)
