Bus Route Pick-up/Drop-off Change for September

NOTICE: Multiple bus route changes.

Read all the way to the bottom to see if your route will be impacted.

 

Attention EVHS & EVC Families with Students Who Ride Bus Route 2 and 16:

Due to bus driver shortages in our transportation department, students who ride bus Route 2 will be picked up/dropped off by Route 16 beginning Tuesday, September 20th. This change will remain in effect until further notice.

Morning Pick-up (AM Route)

  • Route 16 students will be picked up 15 minutes earlier than their normal scheduled time.
  • Route 2 students will be picked up at approximately their regularly scheduled time.

Afternoon Drop-off (PM Route)

  • Students may be dropped off approximately 10 minutes later than normal. 

Please accept our sincerest apologies for these changes to the bus routes. We are actively seeking bus drivers and substitute bus drivers. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about becoming a driver for the East Valley School District, please contact our Transportation Department at 509-573-7373.

 

Attention East Valley Elementary and Moxee Elementary Families with Students Who Ride Bus Routes 1, 2 and 21:

Due to bus driver shortages in our transportation department, bus routes are 1, 2, and 21 will have route changes beginning Tuesday, September 20th. This change will remain in effect until further notice.

Morning Pick-up (AM Route)

  • Route 2 students that live on Beauchene Rd. will be picked up by Route 1 at approximately their normal time. (Note: Students who normally ride Route 1 will continue to ride Route 1)
  • All other students from Route 2 will be picked up by Route 21 about 15 minutes earlier than normal. 

Afternoon Drop-off (PM Route)

  • Students may be dropped off up to 20 minutes later than normal. 

Please accept our sincerest apologies for these changes to the bus routes. We are actively seeking bus drivers and substitute bus drivers. Attention EVHS & EVC Families with Students Who Ride Bus Routes 4, 12, and 21:

Due to driver shortages in our transportation department, three of our bus routes will have different pick-up and drop-off times for September 29th. 

Route 12: Students who normally ride Route 12 will ride Route 21.

Route 21 N. Sky Vista Stops Only: Students who normally ride Route 21 and are picked up/dropped-off on N. Sky Vista will be riding Route 4.

  • Please have riders out to their bus stop 15 minutes earlier than normal. Afternoon drop-off will be approximately 15 minutes later.

Route 21 All Other Stops (not N. Sky Vista): Students who normally ride Route 21 (other than N. Sky Vista) will continue to ride Route 21.

  • Please have Route 21 riders out to their bus stop 10 minutes earlier than normal for morning pick-up. Afternoon drop-off will be approximately 15 minutes later.

If your child is able to get a ride to or from school September 20-22, that could help alleviate some of the extra students and stops for each bus. We understand this is not possible for many of our families, so we do ask for extra patience today as our drivers make it through their additional stops. Please accept our sincerest apologies for this disruption.

Attention Terrace Heights Elementary Families with Students Who Ride Bus Routes 12 and 23:

Due to driver shortages in our transportation department, two of our bus routes will have different pick-up and drop-off times for September 29th. (Read to bottom to see all routes impacted). 

All Route 12 riders will be riding Route 23 bus today (the two routes are combining to share one bus).

  • Students who normally ride Route 23: Morning pick-up will be approximately 15-20 minutes late.
  • Students who normally ride Route 12: Morning pick-up will be at the same time as normal.
  • Afternoon drop-off will be approximately 15 minutes later.

 

If your child is able to get a ride to or from school, that could help alleviate some of the extra students and stops for the bus.
