International Baccalaureate Program
East Valley High School is an authorized International Baccalaureate World School. We offer the IB Diploma Program alongside other IB World Schools who share a common philosophy: a commitment to a high-quality, rigorous and relevant international education we believe is important for our students' personal and academic success. It is a program to prepare students for their tertiary education as well as the workplace and other post-secondary experiences.
The East Valley High School IB Diploma Program offers the following classes:
Group 1: Language A: Literature HL
Group 2: Language B: Spanish SL and HL
Group 3: Individuals and Society: History HL
Group 4: Sciences: Biology SL; Sports, Exercise and Health Sciences SL; Computer Science Sl and HL
Group 5: Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches SL
Group 6: The Arts: Theatre SL and HL; Visual Arts SL and HL
Course Candidates may take any combination of the above classes.
Diploma Candidates are required by the IB to take one from each group of classes plus the IB core. The IB core consists of the Extended Essay; Creativity, Activity, and Service; and Theory of Knowledge.
