Who is eligible to take the SBA/WCAS?: 

Freshmen are not eligible to take the SBA ELA, Math or WCAS (Science). 

Sophomores are required to take the SBA ELA and Math assessments. Sophomores are not eligible to take the WCAS (Science). 

Juniors are required to take the WCAS (Science) assessment. Juniors who have not yet passed the SBA ELA and/or Math assessments are eligible for a retake. While retakes are not mandatory, taking and passing these assessments provides students with an opportunity to meet a required graduation pathway and earn competency-based credit.

Seniors who have not yet passed the SBA ELA, Math, and/or WCAS (Science) assessments are eligible for a retake. Although retakes are not required, passing the SBA ELA and Math assessments helps students meet a required graduation pathway. Additionally, passing the SBA ELA, Math, and/or WCAS assessments allows seniors to earn competency-based credit.
