EVHS Student Newspaper

There is misinformation circulating regarding an article in the upcoming issue of the school newspaper concerning Black Lives Matter.
The school newspaper is intended to be an objective, facts-based forum. Edits to the article in question were required to meet the intent of the newspaper. As we head into winter break, we invite our families to take this opportunity to rest, relax, unplug and connect with each other.

Schedule Changes

As we approach winter break, we’d like to make our families aware of a couple of changes during the week of December 14-18th. To maximize the amount of face-to-face instructional time we have with our hybrid students, we will modify our schedule so that our current ‘Wednesday Schedule’ will take place on Friday. Update EVHS Reopening

EVHS Reopening Postponed

Although we advocated on behalf of our students returning as scheduled, the YHD and our insurance provider cited several reasons why they could not recommend the return of our students in grades 9-12 at this time. We understand the need for this new guidance and have decided to postpone the reopening of East Valley High School until the YHD advises it is safe to do so. Will your kids be returning for hybrid learning?

If you have students in grades 6-12, we need to know if you're planning to continue with 100% remote learning or if you plan to send your kids back to one of our schools for hybrid learning. Please click the title/read more to be directed to this survey.

Virtual Safety Conferences

EVHS is not doing "in person" conferences for our returning students. We will be using our traditional advisory time to talk to your student about how the Hybrid days will work (Safety, Entrance, Health Screening, Drop off/Pick up). Hybrid Discussion Date - December 2nd Wednesday Who - Student (must attend)/Parent (invited) Where - Google Meet in Advisory Please email your advisory teacher if you have any concerns or questions. This information must be given to your student in order for them to return to in person learning. We also want all "Virtual" students to attend. If you need the Masks, Health Screening Form(s), Planner, you can come pick them up at the EVHS Main Office from 8-3 Monday-Friday. EVHS Administration
