CAREER INFORMATION

We will be doing activities throughout the year with each grade level to help our students plan for their careers. If you have access to the internet, we recommend you explore the web sites listed below for more information about careers and occupations. Many of these sites provide assistance in developing a resume, completing a job application, and interviewing techniques. Some enable you to look for employment or to post your resume with prospective employers. If you would like to perform your own search, consider using one or more of the following key words to conduct your search: employment, occupations, labor market information, education, training, careers, and jobs.

Career Bridge is a popular tool we use at EVHS. There is an interest inventory you can complete as well as look at labor trends/data.

ACT Profile is another very useful site to find career information. It offers multiple career and interest inventories, but also has a very good college planning component as well.

Resume Coach has some very nice tips and recommendations on building a job resume. Your English teachers, school counselors, and business teachers are also good resources to get tips.
